Mathematics Teaching Apprenticeship (21:640:397, 398)  

The Teaching Apprenticeship course is designed for students who wish to gain experience teaching mathematics at the K - 12 levels. After observing several classes taught by an experienced professor, the student will prepare a lesson plan and teach a class. During the Teaching Apprenticeship, students will also review mathematics education articles to familiarize themselves with the current trends in teaching mathematics.  This course is supervised by Professor Yusuf Abdi.

To enroll in a Teaching Apprenticeship students can register by taking the following steps:

Make an appointment with Professor Yusuf Abdi to discuss the Apprenticeship. His office is located in Smith Hall, Room 326. 

If Professor Abdi approves the project, complete the form below and press “Send.” 

Once your request has been processed, you will receive an email containing a special permission number. 

Take the special permission number to the Rutgers Registrar, Blumenthal Hall, 3rd floor to enroll in the course.
